This is the story of the origin of our home, as relayed through emailed correspondence among me and the daughters, granddaughters, and a family friend of the original owners. As you will read, I undertook this project intending for it to result in a surprise in the form of a book for my husband, Mark, to be given to him for our 6th wedding anniversary. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the book idea didn't work out, and the project seemed better suited for the web anyway.
